Area Support Group, the second oldest support group in the world for individuals with the condition, which meets semi-annually in northern Virginia. Dave’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Botany and Master’s degree in Theological Studies (major: Biblical Hebrew). He spent two summers working as a chaplain in State mental hospitals (Huntington, West Virginia, and Napa (Imola), California). For relaxation, he is the social / evening director at a camp located just outside Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, Maine. He’s had his pet tarantula, Charlotte, for 13 years.
