We strongly encourage anyone who wishes to do so, to bring any issues, concerns or recommendations to KS&A’s attention through the Board of Directors or the appropriate committee and/or advisory panel. We have endeavored to make the organization as responsive as possible to our members’ interests and needs. Accordingly, if you have a suggestion, idea or concern, please be sure you raise it so that it can be considered and/or addressed. Bringing an Issue to the KS&A Board All KS&A Board of Directors meetings are open to the public so that members may have the benefit of observing Board business. All formal actions of the Board take place pursuant to a published agenda during these public meetings, although the Board may on rare occasions hold closed sessions to discuss sensitive personnel issues and certain disciplinary matters. Input by non-Board members is allowed during set times of these meetings and for specific amounts of time. We encourage you to express your views on subjects related to KS&A. Comments are welcome during times designed in each Board agenda. There are several ways to formally address the KS&A Board of Directors: Written Communication: You may write a letter addressed to the KS&A Board of Directors, c/o Executive Chairman, 11 Keats Court, Coto de Caza, CA 92679. The e-mail address of the Executive Chairman is . Please be sure to include your full name and address for a response. Participation in a Board Meeting: There are two ways to participate in a Board meeting: You may call the Executive Chairman at least five days in advance of the Board meeting and ask to be placed on the Agenda. The Board decides what agenda items are to be discussed when they formally adopt the Agenda at the start of each meeting. During the time period designated for such input, you will be allowed to make your presentation to the Board. You may address the Board during the Agenda item listed as “Comments from the Community.” When addressing the Board, please state your name. If you are representative of an organization or group, please indicate whether you are representing the view of that group. Written statements should be given to the Board Secretary. Board members may question speakers, but the Board will not necessarily enter into debate or conversation during this portion of the meeting. In general, issues are referred to the Executive Director or Executive Chairman for investigation, study and recommendation, designation as a future agenda item or answered through written communication. Since many KS&A Board meetings are held telephonically, if you would like to receive a notice of the dial-in number and be assigned a participant ID code for the call, please contact KS&A’s offices at (888) 999-9428, Ext. 21.
